Chicago Fire Reserves 1-3 Kansas City Wizards Reserves

BRIDGEVIEW, IL--The Chicago Fire Reserves followed in the footsteps of the first team again, but this time in defeat as their counterparts from Kansas City won, 3-1.
Patrick Nyarko opened the scoring for the Fire Reserves in the 31st minute after blocking a clearance by Wizards keeper Eric Kronberg. The Fire Reserves almost doubled their lead before halftime, but Andy Herron’s shot would be smothered by Kronberg.
Ivan Trujillo equalized for the Wizards Reserves four minutes into the second half. Then, Eloy Colombano made it 2-1 fourteen minutes later after connecting on a cross from Trujillo. Nelson Pizarro would score an insurance goal in the 73rd minute to conclude the scoring.
The Fire Reserves are next in action on Friday, May 9 against DC United’s Reserves. Kickoff is at 9am Chicago time.
