Orlando Sharks 13-9 Chicago Storm
by Dan Gaichas
ORLANDO, FL--The Chicago Storm concluded their regular season, as they have the last three regular seasons, with a loss. This time, it was to the lowly Orlando Sharks, 13-9, at the Amway Arena.
There was really nothing to play for as the Storm were already assured of the fifth seed for the playoffs. The Storm finish the season at 15-15.
John Ball scored two goals for the Storm including a three-point goal. However, Miodrag Djerisilo would counter with two goals of his own--also including a three-point goal and the eventual match-winner in the third quarter. Mauricio Ruiz also had a brace for the Sharks who finish the season at 4-26. Benjamin Chavolla, Ian Bennett, and Matthew Stewart also scored for the Storm.
The Storm will open the MISL Championship Series quarterfinals at home against La Raza de Monterrey on Thursday night at the Sears Centre. Kickoff for Game 1 is at 7pm.
